Quick Cheeky Catch Up

Well I have been a busy bee over the past few days with the girls, hospital visits, planning the wedding and of course my beloved glass painting, and even now I am sitting here quickly typing in an update while Ruby and Grace watch a bit of morning tv as I know I just wont get time to update later either! So with the orders stacking up in the order book (which is FAB) I am working my way through them while coming up with new ideas!!
Here is a quick update of things I have done:

A returning customer who originally had the Toni 21st Frame, this time a frame for a 60 year old lady!

I've been so busy with frames it was lovely to get back to the glasses, and this glass was a welcome addition to my order book! I just love this design!

I had a bit of a lightbulb moment last week and thought wouldnt it be fab if I could make my plates into clocks!! So I sweet talked the lovely hubby to be who drilled a lovely holee in the centre and I was able to attach the clock movement!

And I just love the previous plates I desigined as clocks - what a lovely thing to be able to have in a childs bedroom!

Pretty pretty flowers

Well I am in love with my floral frames - they just shout everything that I am about - pretty, original and with a hint of vintage!!

I have had LOTS of orders this week for new frames, two of which were returning customers - so I must be doing something right! Its so difficult to judge how a customer feels once they have their frames, and when you dont know that person its un-nerving.

But anyways here are the two floral orders I have completed so far:
Nanny & Me, a mothers day gift for a lovely lady who I met through my business page and has been a loyal supporter of Rubys & Grace Unique Designs since day one.

The second frame is a Tinkerbell inspired floral frame for my first ever bride. A picture of her 3 gorgeous girls will be gracing this frame when they are flowergirls for her wedding in March.

Right from the offset of starting Rubys & Grace Unique Designs I knew that I also wanted to use porcelain as another material to work with. I decided on plates and searched high and low for these little beauties - square plates!!
I based this first design on my bride mentioned above - she gave me full permission to use her name and their wedding date to use in my example. I love it!!

I also did a New Baby example plate and used my gorgeous Rubys details to show what can be done.

I also thought i'd include this picture of my 'office' after my hubby to be gave it a makeover with some brilliant shelves!! Doesnt it look fab!

Mega Update

Wow its been a while since I last blogged my work!!! Apologies to all those who read this.

So..... I've been a busy busy bee!! The frames seem to have taken off at the moment and have lots of orders for them now! But I created a beautiful Stargazer Lily Frame along with doing my first ever birthday frame,

With the new arrivals that we are expecting from friends soon I was inspired to create some new frame designs. In the right it a 'Its a ........' frame which can be personalised with details of the brand new little bundle.  And on the left is a 'Grow with me' frame. The idea behind this one is that it has a chalkboard area at the bottom so that you can write your own caption like First Christmas, 2nd Birthday, First Day at School etc.

In the lead up to Valentines Day I created these blackboard glasses, designed so that you can write your own personal message to your loved one!!

One thing I have wanted to try for a while is painted porcelain! So I did these plates and I absolutley loved it!! x

Got plenty more orders to complete over the next few days so I will get back on here as soon as I can x
